Health Data Analytics Webinar Series: Focus on Population Health

This 4-part webinar series offers a hands-on experience analyzing healthcare data. Attendees will use MS Excel and Tableau to prepare, describe, and visualize large healthcare datasets.

Part 1: Basic Analytics and Data Cleansing — June 16

Using MS Excel, attendees will learn the basics of preparing and organizing a dataset for proper analysis. Basic analytical techniques, including common Excel formulas, will be demonstrated to create descriptive summaries. 

Part 2: Databases and Data Reporting — June 18

Using Tableau Public, attendees will gain proficiency in combining datasets for analysis, understanding the structure of relational databases, and utilizing meaningful data extraction methods. 

Part 3: Data Visualization Tools and Techniques — June 23

Using both Tableau Public and MS Excel, attendees will obtain knowledge of data visualization methods, including the use of Pivot Charts, geospatial mapping, and other relevant visual displays of data. 

Part 4: Storytelling with Data and Dashboards — June 25

Using both Tableau Public and MS Excel, attendees will learn how to combine multiple data visualizations into an effective dashboard for telling an effective story that will resonate with key stakeholders.
