MOOC Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions about enrolling, logging in and other general information about MOOC courses.

Enrolling in a MOOC

You can enroll for a MOOC on the day the course opens. There will no longer be registration in advance. Once you enroll, you jump right in.

Yes, you can enroll after the start day. You may need to spend extra time to catch up in the course, and it’s possible that you will have fewer responses to your discussion posts because other students are ahead of you.

If this course is not an option for you at this time, simply stop logging in and consider enrolling again when the course is next offered.

Login and password

Click on the Support button in the upper right of the login page. You will need to know the name of the course you are registered for.

Check your confirmation email to verify the username you selected when you registered for the course. The email is from: If you need assistance from Support, you will need to provide the name of the course you are registered in.

On the course site, click on the Support button in the upper right of the screen, or on the Login button and scroll down. You will need to know the name of the course you are registered in.

Course information

Each MOOC has different requirements for course materials. Please refer to the specific information in your course.

You need a current Internet browser such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari. Please be sure to turn off your pop-up blockers. It is essential that you allow pop-ups because many items such as quizzes, websites and discussion post components may be set to pop up in a new window and you will not be able to access them if your pop-ups are blocked. You can use a computer, laptop or mobile device for the course.

This course is designed to be self-paced. For course questions, please click on Discussions and enter the Course Q&A forum. For technical questions, click on the Support link in the upper right of the page.

Use a supported browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Chrome and be sure that the browser version is up to date. Make sure you have your pop-up blockers turned off. Clear your cookies and cache to get better results; click on Control/Shift/Delete to clear your cookies and cache.
