HeartCode BLS is an American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical Resuscitation Quality Improvement Program covering Basic Life Support for the infant, child and adult. This course combines online learning with hands-on skills practice and testing to deliver consistent, high-quality resuscitation training for the healthcare provider. It can be used for first time BLS certification or for a BLS renewal. During this course, learners first complete an online cognitive portion then practice and test their skills in a hands-on skills portion with a voice assisted manikin. Estimated time for completion is 4 hours for the online and 30-60 minutes for skills in a skills lab. The course is asynchronous allowing flexibility for learners.
