Students may choose from two admission options:
Applications to the graduate program in athletic training are considered on a rolling basis until the maximum class size is reached. The program begins in June. Once admitted, students must be enrolled in the program full-time. Moreover, students are expected to fulfill all course and clinical experiences according to the required sequence (unless an exception is approved by the Department).
For guidance on securing internships, contact the department chair. Scholastica students have interned at a variety of sites, including Fairview Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, collegiate athletic programs and fitness centers.
The job outlook for athletic training graduates is very positive. Upon graduating, students have secured positions within healthcare facilities, university settings, fitness and rehabilitation centers. Others have gone on to pursue graduate degrees in physical therapy, exercise physiology and occupational therapy.

"The experience here is different than any place else ... small class sizes, lots of faculty attention and guidance, exposure to a wide variety of experiences, good collegiate sports teams, and more."
