Visit Campus

A personal visit to The College of St. Scholastica usually includes meeting with an admissions counselor and taking a tour of our beautiful campus.  It can also include visiting with a faculty member and/or coach.  Most campus visits last approximately two hours. The length of your visit will depend on what activities you would like to include in your visit. Special arrangements can be made for you to:

• Meet with a professor (depending on availablity)
• Visit with a coach (depending on availablity)
• Meet with a financial aid counselor
• Attend a class (not available from April 30 - October 1)

Learn about St. Scholastica and meet future classmates at our first ever Admitted Student Day! Our Admitted Student Day has a set agenda and is scheduled for a Monday so you can get a true sense of what the college is really like!

You can:

• Take classes designed just for you, from CSS professors
• Meet other incoming students
• Hear current students talk about student life
• Enjoy a tour of campus, including tours of residence halls
• Have lunch in Somers Lounge
• Learn more about what CSS has to offer

To get an idea of what campus life is really like - you are invited to spend a night in our residence hall during the academic year. You may incorporate this with a personal visit, special event or the shadow program.

• Please schedule your overnight visit at least two weeks in advance. 
• You will be staying with some of our current students in their dorm rooms. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, etc.
• Overnight visits are limited to one evening and are offered Sunday through Thursday only. Up to three meals in the College's Dining Hall will be provided for each prospective student.
• We are unable to accommodate all housing requests.  ** Please note: We cannot host visitors the first week of classes,  when our students are on break, or when our students are preparing for and taking finals.

Come and experience a "day in the life" of a St. Scholastica student during the academic year! We will match you up with a current CSS student. Your day will include:

• attending classes
• meeting professors
• meeting students
• having lunch in our Dining Hall
• taking an inside look at college life
• having fun!

If there is a specific date on which you would like to Shadow, please let us know at least two weeks in advance. Please know your academic and extracurricular interest so that we can match you accordingly with a CSS student. ** Please note: We cannot host visitors the first week of classes,  when our students are on break, or when our students are preparing for, and taking, finals.

During the Open House (which is First-year student focused), participants will:

• Explore our beautiful campus
• Meet our admissions staff, faculty and students
• Learn about financial aid options
• Experience campus life
• Have the option to do an overnight stay in student housing (not available in September)

12:30 p.m. - Check-in, located in Mitchell Auditorium (snacks, goodies and drinks provided)

1 p.m. - Admissions and Financial Aid presentation

2 p.m. - Academic/Department Fair (meet representatives from majors and departments)

3 p.m. - Guided campus tours (tours last approximately 1 hour)

4 p.m. - Depart, or meet Innkeepers (if choosing the overnight option)

- Sit in on classes the following day (if choosing the overnight option)

Prospective students and their families are invited to visit The College of St. Scholastica during Minnesota Private College Week. Take advantage of this excellent opportu­nity to visit our campus and learn more about what St. Scholastica has to offer. Two general overview sessions (including a tour of campus) will be held in Mitchell Auditorium each day of Minnesota Private College Week. Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please plan to check-in 15 minutes prior to the session.

If you are considering a career in the health science field, Health Career Day is for you! It's an opportunity to explore and examine career options. Focuses will include: physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, health information management, pre-med, exercise physiology and athletic training. The program will also include info sessions by medical professionals at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Medical Center. Registration is limited.
