The acoustically superb Mitchell Auditorium was designed primarily as a music performance facility, but has grown into a premier performing arts center. It hosts school productions, concerts, guest speakers, and student activities.

The auditorium seats 580 with accommodations for people with handicaps and hearing impairments. The sound and lighting system is specifically designed for music but is versatile enough to serve other uses as well.

The Mitchell Auditorium is connected to Tower Hall and it is used for fall commencement and other official campus gatherings.
