St. Scholastica provides a clear path for students interested in HIM. Students enrolled in related programs at the Communiversity @ Surprise's partner schools can seamlessly transfer their credits to CSS and earn their bachelor's degree.
We also offer master's and post-baccalaureate certificates for professionals looking to enter this highly specialized, growing field to further their careers.
Though we started as a brick-and-mortar school in Duluth, Minn., more than 100 years ago, we're not just that anymore. With more than 20 online degree programs and nine locations, our reach has expanded to include Surprise, Ariz.
But our location here isn't your typical campus. It's a Communiversity.
Part community college, part university, a Communiversity joins community colleges with universities to offer students the opportunity to progress from an associate to bachelor's degree (even master's) under one roof.
The Communiversity @ Surprise brings together six institutions, offering students more than 40 online, in-person and hybrid programs to choose from. And because of the relationships between these schools, students can earn up to 90 credits toward their bachelor's degrees at community college pricing.
Our featured program, the bachelor of science in Health Information Management (HIM) is offered through a convenient and affordable degree pathway (see sidebar).
The program is 100 percent online, with accelerated eight-week terms. A personalized learning plan for each student enables the completion of a degree in just two years at a very affordable cost - with a level of educational quality that only the most-experienced school in the field can provide.
Students in Arizona also have access to all of the online programs St. Scholastica offers. And even though you won't sit in a classroom, you'll still be treated personally.
Because of our commitment to the Catholic Benedictine values of community, hospitality, respect, stewardship and love of learning, we put personal attention at the forefront, even online.
All of our online programs come with personal advisors, small class sizes, group work, multimedia learning opportunities and the same privileges as on-campus programs - including access to financial aid, counseling and tutoring. So you don't have to come to Minnesota for the personal "small college" experience we're known for.
