Following UB expectations, completing schoolwork, receiving personal or academic counseling, or college and career planning. If there is a conflict with your meeting time, you must seek prior approval from your UB advisor in order to receive meeting credit.

Saturday Sessions:

If you do not attend a Saturday session your monthly stipend will automatically be reduced by 1/2. If your G.P.A. is lower than the required 2.500 you can still receive a minimum of $10.00 if you have attended the weekly meetings and Saturday session. Excused absences for Saturday Session include family emergencies and school related functions. An excused absence must be cleared with your advisor prior to the session. Your stipend will not be affected if you have an excused absence.

You will not receive meeting credit if you are:

Late, talking, sleeping, disrespectful toward others, disruptive to others or other inappropriate, unproductive behavior.

· Stipends will be disbursed the second week of each month by your advisor. Example: November's stipend will be handed out the second week of December. Stipends are based on current GPA, UB attendance, and Saturday Session participation. Saturday Sessions are required and cannot be made up!

· If a student receives a failing grade (F) for the grading period, no stipend will be disbursed that month. Completed weekly progress reports demonstrating passing grades may result in a stipend for the following month.

· An incomplete (I) will result in no stipend! It is the student's responsibility to provide verification of the grade change. The student will not be eligible for the next month's stipend until written verification is provided noting a passing grade.
