What is Upward Bound?
Upward Bound is a pre-college program designed to prepare eligible high school students to successfully pursue an education beyond high school. We serve students from Denfeld, Central, Cloquet, Fond du Lac Ojibwe School, Albrook, Cook, Orr, Cotton, and Wrenshall.
What does Upward Bound cost?
All activities are provided free of cost if you qualify for the program.
How do I apply?
Recruitment begins in the Fall. We recruit high school freshman and sophomores. (Check eligibility requirements.)
Who is eligible to participate?
Students who want to go to college AND meet one or both of the following:
- First generation student (neither parent has a four-year college degree)
- Students whose family income is within U.S. Department of Education Guidelines
