During the summer program, approximately 35 Upward Bound Math/Science students live on The College of St. Scholastica campus for six weeks. Students in grades 9 - 11 participate in a college simulated experience, taking classes in Science, Math, Scientific Research, English, and a Foreign Language. Recent high school graduates (Bridge students) take a 3 or 4 credit science class taught by a college professor. Although UBMS and Bridge students take different classes during the day, all CSS UBMS students live in Somers Hall and are supervised by the UBMS full-time staff as well as a residential staff. All students are assigned one or more roommates, eat in the Greenview Dining Room (GDR), and live like a college student. Students are provided a student handbook which clearly outlines the program's rules and expectations. All rules are strictly enforced by the staff.
