2006 - 2007 Saturday Sessions

September 16, 2006: We had a great day out at Hawks Ridge with Ms. Waters! It was great to see all of you for our first Saturday session of the year. October 18 -21, 2006: Both UB and UBMS students headed on a Campus Visit Frenzy that took us to Purdue University, Northwestern University in Chicago, DePaul University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and University of Wisconsin - Madison. To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.

October 29, 2006: Our Mentor Kick-Off Party was a huge success! We played football, ate hot dogs, sang songs, and made our way through the corn maze. To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.

November 2 - 4, 2006: Our second Campus Visit Frenzy took us to western Minnesota and North Dakota. We toured Bemidji State University, University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University - Moorhead, Concordia - Moorhead, and St. Cloud State University. December 2, 2006: We spent the morning with Amy Bennett, our local writing expert from Hermantown High School. The afternoon was spent tackling pins and pizza at Skyline Bowling - and we were fortunate enough to have several of our mentors join us. To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.

December 16, 2006: GREASE is the WORD! We travelled to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to take in the musical performance. What a treat! To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.

January 13, 2007: Family Day always is a HUGE hit. We were able to introduce most of our new students, learn about Financial Aid from Mr. Lee Oling (Cloquet Guidance Counselor), and travel to Mont du Lac to do some tubing. To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.

February 24, 2007: THE CHALK GUY WAS AWESOME! Today we celebrated TRiO Day, a day set aside to honor and recognize TRiO participants and programs around the region. The CSS Educational Talent Search program hosted this year's event, bringing in 'The Chalk Guy" to talk to us about obstacles and roadblocks and how to push throught to success. We also hosted a college fair with over 20 regional institutions represented. It was a great day to learn, socialize, and grow. To take a look at all of the pictures, click here.
