Welcome to the violence prevention web site. The information on this site is meant to help students, faculty, and staff get a clearer understanding of critical issues related to college students. These issues include: sexual assault, sexual harassment, the relationship between alcohol use and violence, the increasing concerns related to date rape drugs, and strategies for taking care of yourself and others. Statistics show that college students are the most vulnerable population in these areas.

Both College of St. Scholastica resources and community resources are listed on this site. People who may be most helpful and relevant to your particular concern are identified.

The College of St. Scholastica's policies regarding sexual assault and sexual harassment are available on the site.

There are links to other sites pertaining to violence prevention. You may find these sites useful both personally and academically.

Including in this site is a contact form where you can ask questions, share concerns or give us feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to explore this information. Remember to:

BE INFORMED, BE AWARE, BE SMART !

These are issues relevant to your life. Don't live in fear but do not live in a place of naivety either.
