The mission of the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is to provide resources and transition services to all military veterans, current and former military members and their families in a way that promotes the Benedictine values of respect, hospitality, and community.

The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) wants to welcome you and thank you for your service to the United States of America. We want to encourage veterans to consider CSS as an education option because we highly value the qualities of maturity, dedication, persistence, responsibility, and leadership you will bring to the College.

We also understand that you might be facing very significant transitions and CSS wants to facilitate your move from a very close knit group in the armed forces to developing a strong support system here as well, when you feel you are ready to do so. This on-campus center is available to provide resources and referrals in regards to Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, G.I. Bill benefits, employment, family assistance, transition issues, and education issues.

The center works with various College staff and community agencies to ensure you have equal access to educational benefits, as well as assistance with and/or information on:

• Payment extensions while waiting for educational benefits
• Military transfer credits
• Veteran resident status
• Academic accommodations
• Withdrawals due to deployments
• Referrals to the correct service providers
• Access to service providers on-site
• Events for veterans and military families
• Scholarships
• CSS Veterans Club information

For the extended sites of the College, where a center is not available, the Duluth center will coordinate development of services with the Regional Coordinators of the Minnesota Higher Education Veteran's Affairs offices.

The Veterans Resource Center is located in Tower 2143 and is used as a lounge space for conversation and relaxation, as well as a source of information, resources, and referrals. We look forward to meeting you, so stop by at your convenience.
