What is Academic Advisement?Academic Advisement is the link between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. The Office of Academic Advisement assigns faculty advisors, offers academic counseling, and provides drop-in services regarding dropping/adding courses and informal advisement. Academic Advisement also coordinates programs such as the First Step Program, Advisement Expo, and Advisement Week. It also produces Newbie News, The Sophomore Story, and The Academic Advisement Newsletter to provide course information and academic advisement twice a year prior to Advisement Week.
