Academic Progress Reports

Academic Progress Report is a early intervention designed to help faculty notify students and their advisors of concerns regarding performance and/or attendance that may negatively impact their grade. Faculty are asked to complete Academic Progress Reports if students are earning a C- or lower by mid-term, or if there is a noticeable attendance problem.

Advisors should take the following action if they receive a progress report about a student:

  1. Communicate with the student and set up a meeting immediately with the student
  2. Create a plan of action to improve the grade. If the grades are poor due to personal issues, refer the student to SCHAWB. If the grades are poor due to lack of academic effort, click here for a quick list of Academic Resources
  3. Complete notes and put the paperwork in the student's advisement file
