Administration of Accommodations and Confidentiality

Accommodations, as approved by the Disability Resource Center, are governed by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) privacy rules. The Coordinator for Students with Disabilities communicates with faculty and staff at CSS, on a need-to-know basis, concerning appropriate accommodations approved for the student; the nature of the disability itself will not be disclosed.
