Iraqi Student Project
The Iraqi Student Project assists refugee students whose families left Iraq temporarily as a result of the violence there. Students are selected to participate in the program which facilitates their attendance at American colleges and universities.
St. Scholastica will welcome two Iraqi students in the fall, Mohammed Al-Suraih and Mustafa Saleem. Both are from Baghdad but are living as displaced persons in Damascus, Syria.
While they will attend St. Scholastica on full scholarships covering tuition, room and board, the College is raising money to help with airfare, health insurance, books, and other personal expenses.
Community members are invited to help meet the College's $6,300 fundraising goal. Donations can be submitted online or by mail (see below).
