Located in Duluth, Minnesota - mid-America's gateway to the sea - The College of St. Scholastica welcomes students from more than forty countries. The College is three hours north of the "Twin Cities" metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul where there is a major international airport. Duluth has a regional airport with easy connections to the Twin Cities.

St. Scholastica is an independent, coeducational, comprehensive college offering 42 undergraduate majors in the liberal arts and sciences. U.S. News & World Report magazine consistently ranks the College in the top tier of Midwestern universities. The Washington Post newspaper named St. Scholastica one of the "hidden gems" in US higher education based on rankings done by college advisors from across the USA.

St. Scholastica is the fastest growing private college in Minnesota over the last three years. Its current undergraduate enrollment of 2,000 is the highest in the College's 94-year history.

The College offers especially popular programs in the health sciences, management, psychology, mathematics, computer information and the traditional liberal arts and humanities.

On-campus graduate programs are offered in management and health sciences (nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and exercise physiology); distance-learning on-line MA programs are available in computer information systems, education and school library management.

The College's forested campus is situated on a bluff overlooking the city of Duluth and providing a panoramic view of Lake Superior. The picturesque Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, two hours driving distance to the north, offers kayaking, canoeing, skiing, sailing and hiking in a tranquil and environmentally rich environment.

Fifty-percent tuition scholarships are available for international students based on need and academic achievement. Ten larger scholarships are available annually for students who could not otherwise afford an American university education.

Special scholarships are available for Polish studentsts only. Please see additional information on the following site: http://www.css.edu/x3966.xml

If you need additional English language preparation before attending St. Scholastica, we strongly recommend that you enroll in one or more sessions at Global Language Institute (GLI), the intensive English program located on St. Scholastica's St. Paul campus. At GLI students may study for the new TOEFL iBT and take classes that will prepare them to be more successful at St. Scholastica. GLI courses are offered throughout the year. For more information about English language preparation or GLI, contact Mary Guion at info@gli.org or visit www.gli.org.
