Benedictine Scholarships
The Benedictine Scholarships are available to all new College applicants based on merit, specifically the combination of cumulative high school GPA and composite ACT or SAT score. The scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years or until receiving a Bachelors' Degree (whichever comes first). These scholarships are automatically awarded upon acceptance to the College and require no formal application. Alumni Referral Scholarship- deadline of March 1
Alumnus of St. Scholastica can help out a prospective student by completing the Alumni Referral Scholarship. This scholarship is for first-year students and is a $600 annual scholarship, totaling $2,400. For more information, visit: http://www2.css.edu/app/alumni/Referral_Card/alumnireferral.cfm
Catholic Student Referral Scholarship- deadline of March 1
The Catholic Referral Scholarship is a $600 annual scholarship, totaling $2,400 for students who have a referral form filled out by a priest, sister, or other vowed religious. However, Lay persons with leadership positions within the Catholic Church may also make referrals. Minnesota Achieve Scholarship Program
(One-time scholarship available to students who graduate after January 1, 2009).
Deadline: 30 days after the term starts
Award: Between $1,200 and $ 4,022 depending on need
Criteria: To be eligible, a student must:
- Enroll full time (15 credits) in an eligible public or private postsecondary institution in Minnesota within the first academic year immediately following high school graduation
- Be eligible to receive either a Federal Pell Grant or Minnesota State Grant
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Meet the definition of Minnesota resident used for state financial aid programs
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
- Apply for the scholarship no later than 30 days after the term starts
How to Apply:
- Students must first graduate from high school
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Complete the online application at:

(Click on "Apply Online for the Achieve Scholarship") - After submitting the online application, please provide an official copy of your completed high school transcript and any required documentation.

AES Scholarship
Deadline: October 6, 2009
Award: $500
How to apply: Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to one of the two questions below:
- Explain the importance of your current studies in today's society.
- There is general agreement that our economy is in trouble. In general terms, how much responsibility should be shouldered by the average citizen?
