The College of St. Scholastica

Athletics and Wellness

St. Scholastica recognizes the importance athletics play in the character of our students. We offer a full
slate of intercollegiate and intramural sports. Achieving success on the field, court and rink is only part of what athletics teach students. Last year our student athletes achieved an overall 3.3 GPA, with 73 students named UMAC Academic All-Conference, five named to the NCHA All-Academic Team and two honored as CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Student Athletes.

The Fall of 2008 marked yet another milestone for St. Scholastica with the introduction of our newest
intercollegiate sport - football.

Intramurals are a great way to exercise and have fun with friends. Lively games of flag football, volleyball, basketball, racquetball, to mention a few, are there for your participation - as well as team intramural leagues
and play-offs.

With programs such as WellU and Campus Recreation better health is within your reach. We promote a culture of wellness through a variety of activities, including classes in aerobics, Pilates, yoga, dance, self-defense and salsa dancing. If you prefer to work out at your own pace, challenge yourself indoors at Burns Wellness Commons, or outdoors at any of the parks, trails or other venues Duluth has to offer.
