Following Acceptance
Congratulations . . . you have received your acceptance letter! So, what's next? Before you begin taking courses at the College, there are a few steps to complete. As a transfer student, you probably became familiar with similar steps at your previous college(s). Each step is linked to an on-line form, and paper versions are also available upon request. We try to coordinate as best we can with other departments, but don't be alarmed if you get a form in the mail requesting information you already have completed on-line. If there is anything that is missing from your enrollment file, Brenda, Rebecca, or Clarence will contact you.
Here are the steps you should review:
1. Transfer Student Online Tutorial
Every transfer student is required to complete the Transfer Student Online Tutorial before you can register for classes. The Online Tutorial holds important information for you on what you need to know about St. Scholastica and the campus, to what you need to do before you start classes.
You will be mailed information shortly after you are accepted on how to log in to the system. Below is a link to help you access the site as well.

2. Enrollment Fee:
The $100 Enrollment Fee reserves a place for you at CSS. Please submit your deposit after you are accepted. A check can be mailed to the Transfer Admissions Office, or the payment can be made by credit card on line at www2.css.edu/epayment/admissions/index.cfm
3. Housing:
The $150 Housing Deposit reserves on-campus living accommodations for you. Payment can be made online at www2.css.edu/epayment/admissions/index.cfm or through the mail by check or credit card (please send payments to the Admissions Office).
4. Financial Aid (Federal):
Almost everyone qualifies for some type of financial aid. To find out whether or not you do, you will need to fill out a "Free Application for Financial Aid" (FAFSA).
- Complete the FAFSA (or Renewal Application) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- The St. Scholatica vendor code is 002343
- A PIN is required to complete the FAFSA online. To request a PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov
- Changes in information for a processed FAFSA can be done online or by calling the Federal Processor at (800)-433-3243.
- More information is available through the Office of Financial Aid.

6. Immunization Law:
- Students who are born in 1957 or after and who are enrolled in more than one course are required by the State of Minnesota to provide the College with evidence of immunizations. The Immunization Requirements Form and Health History Form must be completed on line at www2.css.edu/app/depts/staffairs/medicalhistory/

7. Hospitalization Insurance:
- Hospitalization insurance is required of all full-time undergraduate students. The cost is automatically charged to undergraduate students with 12 or more credits unless a waiver form is filled out within the first two weeks of a semester. The waiver form can be completed online only after you have registered for classes. at www2.css.edu/app/depts/staffairs/medicalhistory/
***Important Notice:
Effective March 15, 2007, when you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. For inquiries please call the College of St. Scholastica Business Office at 1-800-447-5444 or 723-6092. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
