Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Online Admissions Information

The transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy program will consider applicants who:
- Submit a completed Graduate Admissions Application form online or download the .pdf print version.
- Proof of graduation from an accredited entry-level bachelor's or master's degree physical therapy program. Submit all official transcripts of baccalaureate and graduate coursework.
- Proof of licensure (unrestricted) to practice physical therapy in the United States. A notarized copy of the license or access to the website of hte appropriate state's licensing bureau. International applicants must have taken and passed the U.S. licensing exam.
- Current resume.
- Evidence of employment equivalent to one year, full-time (2,080 hours) as a licensed physical therapist. A letter of reference from the potential student's supervisor on official letterhead verifying the work history, present job description, and suitability for doctoral work is to be sent to the Graduate Admissions office.
- Submit a completed Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy essay.
- Submit two Graduate Recommendation forms from health care professionals who have observed your work.
- International Applicants will need to complete additional requirements.
Note: Meeting minimal entrance requirements does not necessarily guarantee admission. A composite assessment will be based on the applicant information and will reflect the overall desirability of the candidate. This will only be done after review of the complete application file.
Application Deadline
Application deadline for the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for fall term is August 1, spring term is November 15 and summer term is March 1. Review of completed application files will continue until all open seats for the program are filled.
