Graduate Studies
Deferment of Graduate Admissions
Student admission deferment may be requested before or after acceptance into the intended program. A student's admission is granted for the specified semester and program as indicated on the application. Students wanting to start on a later date than originally indicated on their application form, must complete the Deferment of Graduate Admission form.
Accepted students can only defer pursuit of studies for 12 months following the initial requested entry date. This means that a student who has been accepted for Fall term can only defer to the following Fall. Deferred students must inform the College in writing of their intent to enroll by Oct. 1 for Spring term, Feb. 1 for Summer term and April 1 for Fall term, in order to secure a place in the program.
Students who have not been accepted and want to start on a later date not more than 12 months originally indicated on their application form, will be responsible for meeting any changes in the admission requirements for the new term to which they are applying.
All students who seek to delay admissions beyond 12 months must reapply, meet all admission requirements and pay the application fee.
