BENEDICTINE SCHOLARSHIP The Benedictine Scholarships are available to all new College applicants based on merit, specifically the combination of cumulative high school GPA and composite ACT or SAT score. The scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years or until receiving a Bachelors' Degree (whichever comes first). These scholarships are automatically awarded upon acceptance to the College and require no formal application. ALUMNI REFERRAL SCHOLARSHIP- deadline of March 1, 2009 Alumnus of St. Scholastica can help out a prospective student by completing the Alumni Referral Scholarship. This scholarship is for first-year students and is a $600 annual scholarship, totaling $2,400. For more information, visit: http://www2.css.edu/app/alumni/Referral_Card/alumnireferral.cfm . CATHOLIC STUDENT REFERRAL SCHOLARSHIP- deadline of March 1, 2009 The Catholic Referral Scholarship is a $600 annual scholarship, totaling $2,400 for students who have a referral form filled out by a priest, sister, or other vowed religious. However, Lay persons with leadership positions within the Catholic Church may also make referrals. MINNESOTA ACHIEVE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Application Deadline: within 30 days of the beginning of fall semster 2008 Award: $1200 Criteria: Available to students who graduate after January 1, 2008 To be eligible, a student must: • Have a parental adjusted gross income of less than $75,000 reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year during which the scholarship is requested (this limit also applies to the adjusted gross income reported for independent students). • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. • Meet the definition of a Minnesota Resident for state financial aid programs • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. • Attend an eligible public or private postsecondary institution in Minnesota. • Apply for the scholarship no later than 30 days after the term starts. • Successfully complete the first term of college enrollment in order to receive the second $600 installment of the Achieve Scholarship. • Complete one of the four sets of rigorous programs of study while in high school or in a home-school setting described below (listed on the application).
How to Apply: 1. Students must first graduate from high school 2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 3.
