Management
St. Scholastica's management major (often referred to as a business major) helps develop these skills through a unique design that emphasizes liberal learning along with practical business skills. Each student completes a liberal arts core as well as a management core that covers areas such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resource management, economics, ethics and strategic planning.
Organizational Behavior
The Organizational Behavior major combines theory and practice from multiple disciplines to help students develop skills useful in working with people in organizations to achieve goals and solve problems. Students will learn theories of human groups and their functions and how to apply this knowledge within a variety of organizational structures. Individuals who want to work effectively with others, become proficient in understanding and maximizing the benefits in change, and seek to improve their decision -making and interpersonal communication skills will benefit from this major.This major offers students the opportunity to specialize in two different disciplines, including management or psychology.
Natural Resources
The NS/NR program has been designed specifically for students who have completed the Natural Resource Associate in Applied Science Degree at Central Lakes College. The A.A.S. degree gives students a strong foundation in lower division courses and sets the stage for a transition to a Natural Sciences/Natural Resources major. The St. Scholastica Natural Sciences/Natural Resources curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive, well-rounded exposure to the field of Natural Resources with a concentration in management.
RN to BS Degree Completion Program
The RN to BS Degree Completion Program is designed for registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma. The program has been designed to build on a student's experience as a registered nurse. Students will discover new fundamental concepts and widen their knowledge base through a curriculum that is unique from the curriculum taught at the associate's level. By the end of the program each student will meet baccalaureate nursing outcomes. This program preps students for leadership roles, serves as a strong foundation for graduate study and offers career enhancement.
Baccalaureate nursing emphasizes community based nursing practice, which is the wave of the future. The program consists of six nursing courses for a total of 24 credit hours and the Nursing Portfolio which consists of 20 portfolio credits. Additional non-nursing courses may be required.

Social Work
The mission of the social work profession is "to enhance human well being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed and living in poverty" (from the Preamble of the N.A.S.W. Code of Ethics). Social work addresses the needs of individuals, families, groups and communities. The core values of the profession are service, social justice, dignity and worth of the individual, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence.
