BOMB THREAT
If you receive a bomb threat by telephone:
- In a calm voice, try to obtain as much information as possible about the bomb and the caller by using the Bomb Threat Checklist located on the following page.
- Call 9-1-1 immediately and provide them with what information you have received.
- Call campus security at extension 6175 immediately.
- Inform your supervisor and/or department head.
- If instructed to evacuate, walk quickly to the nearest marked stairwell and alert others to do the same.
- Do not us elevators. Move to another building a safe distance away.
- Do not reenter the building until authorization to do so is issued by campus security or the proper authorities.
Bomb Threat received by Mail:
- Do not handle the envelope or package.
- Leave the area immediately.
- Notify campus security immediately at extension 6175.
- Inform your supervisor and/or department head.
