Health Insurance Information
The following are the Health Insurance plan options for International Students for the 2012/13 year;
1. Please note that all international students are required to purchase one of the two school plans for the year 2012/13, unless the student is a college athlete, then they are allowed to waive the school plan.
The College will provide international students with the option of two plans:A. Plan One: The traditional student health plan offered to all Scholastica students. The Cost of this plan for the 2012/13 year will be $1154 for a 12 month period of time beginning on Aug 2, 2012 and ending on August 1, 2013 (or $577 per semester). You will be automatically signed up for this plan - see your fall 2011 bill. You have to enroll in Plan Two in order to be dis-enrolled from this plan - see "B" below.
If want to keep this plan and you are not an athlete - then you do nothing - except read #5 below.
If you want to keep this plan and add sports coverage for a college sponsored sport - voluntary athletic coverage is available if an athlete is enrolled in the traditional student health insurance policy. Premium PER sport for basketball, football, Ice Hockey, Skiing, Soccer and Softball is $430 per athlete per sport. The premium PER sport for all other sports and club sports is $211 per athlete per sport. This is an annual fee for annual coverage. The cost of this plan will be billed to your student account.
