Emily Johnson (email@example.com): Director, Department of Institutional Diversity (723-7013.) As Director of the office, Emily is responsible for planning and implementing intercultural and diversity programming at St. Scholastica. She is available for consultation to faculty and staff for the purposes of expanding diversity services and practices on campus to ensure seamless inclusivity policies campus-wide. She also serves as an advocate for diverse students, faculty and staff and as co-advisor for the Kaleidoscope Multicultural Club.
Nam Provost (firstname.lastname@example.org): Program Coordinator (723-7032), Department of Institutional Diversity. Nam is co-faciliator for Fostering the Roots of Cross Racial Competence which is a workshop targeted towards staff and faculty. She and others from the St. Scholastica community are available for other trainings as requested. She also works with the director to program events for the entire college community and collaborates with the wider Duluth community.
With inclusivity being one of our core campus values, intercultural services at St. Scholastica is not limited to just one office. Other staff on campus who work to assist and support students from diverse backgrounds include:
Alison Champeaux (email@example.com): International Student Advisor. Alison works closely with international students to assist and advise on everything from immigration issues to academic networking and support. One of the fastest growing student groups on campus, St. Scholastica welcomes students from more than 40 countries around the world.
Jay Newcombe (firstname.lastname@example.org): Director, Center for Just Living. Adjacent to the Intercultural Center, the Center for Just Living is a place where likeminded students meet to work on issues surrounding social justice and equality. A few of the clubs that meet here include the Queer Straight Alliance, United for Africa, Third-Waivers, and Amnesty International.
