When are the buildings open?
Every year, the buildings open the Saturday before Labor Day. They remain open until Semester Break, when they close and lock at 5:00 p.m. on the last day of finals. Students wishing to stay on campus during semester break must have a home address at least 50 miles from campus. Students with a home address under 50 miles from St. Scholastica may fill out a waiver requesting to stay on campus for school or work-related purposes over break. Buildings reopen at 10:00 a.m. the day before classes resume. At the end of Spring Semester, you are required to have moved out of your housing by 24 hours after your last final. Graduating Seniors are required to have moved by 10:00 a.m. the day after commencement ceremonies.

Are extra long beds available? How do I order one?
A limited number of extra long beds are available on a first-come first-serve basis for taller residents. Unless two are ordered for the same room, extra long beds cannot be bunked. Contact Residential Life to order an extra long bed.
How much is laundry and where are facilities located?

Can I rent a refrigerator or bring my own?
Residential Life does not have refrigerators to rent. Many student elect to purchase one on their own. They must be the smaller dorm size refrigerators.
Can I bring a microwave to campus?
One microwave is allowed in each room. Microwaves are not provided in any of the campus residences.
How can I get computer assistance?

Is basic cable television provided in every residence?
