The CLEAN Program is the foundation of Recovery Services at The College of St. Scholastica. The peer-to-peer recovery support model on which Recovery Services is built relies on a team of students to serve their peers and community. These students are developed for service within The CLEAN Program and grow in their recovery through helping others.
Students in The CLEAN Program are expected to embrace both the principles of the 12 Steps and the Benedictine Values on which The College of St. Scholastica is founded. Students who commit to The CLEAN Program are looking to develop their emotional sobriety through working with a Recovery Coach and applying skills learned through service work. There are various incentives available to students in The CLEAN Program.
Expectations for students in The CLEAN Program include:
Application and admission into The CLEAN Program is through an interview process with Recovery Services staff. Students are formally recognized as being in The CLEAN Program upon signing a contract acknowledging the expectations and responsibilities of participation.
