Our meal plans are designed to provide flexibility in order to meet the varied schedules of college students as well as special dietary needs. Most plans allow students to eat meals at both The Greenview and Storm's Den as well as use their Dining Dollars in vending and at Java Express.
All students residing in Somers Residence Hall are required to participate on a meal plan. Freshmen have 3 plans to choose from, while 2 additional plans are available to upper classmen who reside in Somers Hall.
Even though other campus residents and commuter students are not required to participate on a meal plan, many find value in a meal plan because they are tax exempt (current tax is 9.625%) and convenient. They may choose any of the Somers Hall resident plans, or from 4 additional plans.

Please note: The last day to choose or change meal plans without penalty for Spring semester is Friday, January 25, 2012. For more information, please contact the food service department at food_service@css.edu.
Fall meal plans are automatically renewed for spring semester unless students submit a cancellation or change request. Dining dollars and meals must be used each semester and do not transfer, nor are they refunded. If you want to change or cancel your meal plan, use the links above.
If you need to make a change after the above time periods, please contact Food Service at food_service@css.edu or call the Food Service Director at 723-6652. Occasionally a student will run out of meals before the end of the semester. A package of 25 additional Flex meals can be purchased by contacting the Food Service Department.
Another option is to add Dining Dollars to the meal plan. The minimum deposit is $20. This can be done by visiting the OneStop in Tower Hall or contacting them at onestop@css.edu or calling 218-723-6570. Remember, all Dining Dollars must be used by the end of each semester (December 31 for Fall semester, May 15 for Spring semester).
Fall meal plans begin with August move-in and end after lunch service on the last day of finals. There is no food service during Thanksgiving break or the break between semesters other than vending and limited service at Beakers Coffee Bar.
Spring meal plans begin with dinner service in The Greenview the night before classes start and end after lunch service on the last days of finals. There is no food service during spring or Easter break other than vending and limited service at Beakers Coffee Bar.
All meals and Dining Dollars must be used each semester.
You must present your CSS ID Card in order to use your meal plan. Find out more information about using your card by clicking on Storm's Paw print.
