What is our Mission? We are charged with promoting a professional working environment by streamlining the on-campus job search and hiring process, by providing training for student workers and their supervisors, and by honoring the value our student employees and their supervisors add to the CSS experience.

The STEPS team has 17 staff and student members divided into the following areas:
Policies and Procedures-This team is exploring the current student employment program to identify its strengths and weaknesses and to develop consistent policies and practices in position development, advertisement, hiring, supervision and payroll.
Training and Leadership-This team is planning and implementing the professional development workshops to enhance skills and confidence of student employees and their supervisors. The first of these workshops will cover the basics for supervisors and students. The program will expand into many relevant topics in the coming years.
Appreciation and Promotion-This team is organizing the annual student employment appreciation and recognition events and promoting these events in conjunction with the Training and Leadership workshops. This subcommittee also markets the STEPS team, and helps to identify those students and supervisors who make a difference in the CSS community.
