STEPS Training Opportunities

The Student Employment Supervisor Basics is required by all student employment supervisors, and is open to all faculty and staff. This training will cover the basics of posting a student employee position, hiring and interviewing a student, and training and motivating the students once they are hired. This training will also cover any updates in the student employment process over the past year. Sessions are now available (click on the title above to register). More sessions will be available in mid September.

The Student Employment Orientation training is required of all new student employees on campus--and is open to all student employees. This training covers the basics in professional work behavior, attitude, hospitality, conflict resolution, teamwork and leadership. This training is presented by students and staff, and includes humorous video clips of 'what not to do' as a student employee. Students will be paid by their individual departments for their time in this training. Training dates and times will start in late September.
