Apply for Loans

You may be eligible for several types of education loans (i.e. Perkins, Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized federal and alternative loans.) These are indicated on your Financial Aid Award. You should first consider loans that do not accrue interest while enrolled at least half-time - such as federal Subsidized, Nursing and Perkins loans.

If you wish to apply for a loan, please click on the type of student loan listed on the left navigational bar and follow the prompts. To apply for loans for the remainder of this academic year (through August 2009) please use the loans indicated as 2008-2009. For loans for the next academic year (Sept. 2009 - Aug. 2010) please use the loans indicated as 2009-2010. Keep in mind that you can only apply for loans that appear on your Financial Aid Award.

The College of St. Scholastica has decided to participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program beginning in fall 2009. The move is aimed at ensuring the continued availability of federal Stafford and PLUS loans, and simplifying the loan application process for CSS students and families.
