Veterans and Active Service Members are welcome and encouraged to seek out academic accommodations with the Disability Resource Center. We honor your service and sacrifice and support your academic goals.
Things to Consider:
Connect with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) before you begin your college career.
Resources can be offered to veterans who have impairments in one or more life functions, primarily in the area of learning. Tinnitus, mobility, significant burns, prosthetics, back injuries, brain injuries, anxiety, depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are common conerns seen from veterans seeking resources through the DRC.
Obtain documentation from the Veterans Administration or your practitioner prior your meeting with the DRC staff.
This could be your VA Benefits letter of eligibility (determining disability), documents or practitioner notes.
All information is confidential and does not go on a permanent record.
The DRC holds all information confidential and released only with a written consent from you. Accessing resources is NOT part of the academic record. Faculty will only know accommodations, not disability unless you choose to disclose that information.
