Student Responsiblities:
- Students must be registered with the DRC prior to requesting test accommodation.
- Students who are registered with the DRC, must have a Letter of Accommodation on file for the current semester.
- Student must Schedule a Test using the online form tests listed on syllabus at the beginning of the semester and also re-schedule test at this link if the need arises.
- Student should schedule ALL tests and final exams at the beginning of each semester, or a minimum of five working days before their first exam or quiz of the semester.
- The DRC will send an email to student and faculty confirming test has been scheduled. The faculty will bring test to the DRC (email is preferred) and the DRC will deliver the test back to the faculty when complete.
- Students are encouraged to take exams and quizzes during normal class period. If this is not possible due to extended time on tests, student must contact faculty and DRC to make alternative arrangements.
- On day of test, student goes directly to the DRC Testing Center, T2116.
- DRC Testing Center is open M-F 8:00 am-4:00 pm with the exception of final exam week. Tests must be completed by 4:00 pm.
Exam Change Process - Student Responsibility:
- If date, time, or other exam information changes, student must Re-Schedule a Test online.
- Changes must be made at least one working day before the exam is scheduled.
- Faculty must be notified and must agree with the scheduled change before the DRC will reschedule a test. If student feels comfortable having this conversation with faculty, that is the recommended procedure; however, if student requests DRC involvement, this method is also acceptable.
- Students who do not submit an Exam Change Form will not be scheduled in the Testing Center and will have to take the test with the rest of the class.
- Exam Change Form must be completed by student.
- The DRC will send an email to student and faculty confirming the change.
Testing Policies

All exams are proctored. Only items specified by the instructor are able to be used on the exam.

Testing time begins at the time requested on the "Schedule a Test" online form and agreed to by faculty and DRC. If student is late in arriving at the DRC, the amount of time for testing is
not
extended.
- All student backpacks, etc must be placed AWAY from student near proctor's desk.
- All electronic devices (phones, Ipods, calculators, etc) must be stowed AWAY from student and near proctor.
- Student must have all approved material (pencil, notecard, eraser, etc.) on desk BEFORE starting exam.
- If a calculator is allowed by instructor, student must have it on the desk before beginning the exam.
- Student must take bio breaks, etc PRIOR TO testing.
- Student may NOT leave test room once they have begun test unless their accommodation allows such.
- A camera will record all use and action in the Testing Center. This camera will only be accessed if a claim of academic dishonesty has been brought to the attention of the DRC.
- If a student has three no-shows without notifying the DRC, he/she may lose the right to use testing accommodations with the DRC. To resume testing privileges, the student must meet with the DRC Coordinator to discuss the situation.
- Student may bring a beverage into testing room. No snacks are allowed unless student has an accommodation for such.
If student has questions or concerns about these guidelines, there are to contact DRC Coordinator or Specialist PRIOR to test time.
Faculty Responsiblities:

The Disability Resource Center will notify faculty if a student plans to utilize the DRC Testing Center.
- Faculty will receive an event invitation or email informing them of student testing in the DRC.
- Faculty are responsible for delivering exams to the DRC at secure drop T2126 or via email to agille@css.edu (email is preferred) and providing any special instructions (eg, open book, calculator, etc) and type of Scantron to be used.
- Test time is assumed to be full class period unless faculty provides otherwise.
- Exams will be returned to faculty by DRC staff usually the same day or early the following morning.
- ONLINE COURSES: Faculty must set up a separate exam time to accommodate student based on Letter of Accommodation (eg, one and half time or double time). For instructions to create an exam with additional time click here
