Fellowships ranging from six months to two years in the following disciplines: Architecture; Design Arts; Historic Preservation for artists and Conservation; Landscape Architecture; Literature; Musical Composition; Visual Arts; Classical Studies and Archaeology; History of Art; Modern Italian Studies; and Post-Classical Humanistic Studies. Projects must be conducted at the American Academy of Rome facilities.

American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) - Fellowships
The ACLS Fellowship Program welcomes applications from scholars in all disciplines of the humanities and humanities-related social sciences. Proposals in interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary studies are welcome, as are proposals focused on any geographic region or on any cultural or linguistic group. Stipends range from $30,000 to $60,000 and are intended as salary replacement to help scholars devote six to twelve continuous months to full-time research and writing.

National Humanities Center - Fellowships
Advanced study in history, languages and literature, philosophy, and other fields of the humanities. Fellowships are for scholars of demonstrated achievement and for promising younger scholars. Applicants must hold doctorate or have equivalent professional accomplishments. Younger scholars should be engaged in work significantly beyond the revision of a doctoral dissertation. Applcants must have a recordign publication.

Spencer Foundation - National Academy of Education Post-Doctoral Fellowships
Administered by the National Academy of Education, the postdoctoral fellowships are designed to promote scholarship in the United States and abroad on matters relevant to the improvement of education in all its forms. Scholars anywhere in the world who have completed their doctorates within the last five years, and who wish to conduct research related to education, may apply.
