 Types of Tutoring

The CAS recognizes that every person learns in their own unique way. What is appropriate for one person may not be for another. Students are encouraged to supplement their learning with activities outside the classroom that support and enhance their learning. The CAS offers different opportunites to enhance their learning:

By-Appointment, Individual Tutoring- one on one interaction between tutor and student. Small Group Tutoring- 2-3 individuals receive tutoring from a tutor in a given subject. Students may or may not know each other when tutoring begins.

Drop-In, Individual Tutoring- individual, small or large group tutoring in a given subject. No appointment necessary. Large Group Exam Preparation- tutors facilitate an exam preparation workshop in a specific course.

Large Group Exam Prep -- Tutors will facilitate large exam prep sessions before a scheduled test. Students can request a large group exam prep session, or look in the CAS for courses we offer this opportunity.
