Students
Rights and resonsibilities of students for on-campus interviewing.
- Be on time for the interview.
- Dress appropriately, we have a book on dressing for careers.
- Bring a resume and any other information required by the employer.
- Career Services has resources on interview skills available to you: videos, books, mock interviews.
- Research the company.
- If you must cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance by contacting Career Services.
- Remember that you are representing the college as well as yourself.
- Follow all deadline dates and requirements of the on-campus interview process.
Directions for scheduling an interview:
- Contact the Career Services Administrative Assistant in Tower 2150 (xt. 6085) to look at the qualifications for the position and see if you meet those qualifications.
- Sign up for an interview time slot.
- Prepare a resume. Register on JobSpace and upload your resume onto that site.
- If you wish, schedule a time to do a videotaped mock interview with one of the career counselors and/or watch one of the interviewing skills videos in Career Services. There are also several books in Career Services you can check out in order to improve your interviewing skills.
