Mission, Vision and Values

 

Mission:
To place students, staff, and faculty in a unique environment where they can learn how to safely and respectfully explore and grow through experiential learning. Outdoor PURSUIT! facilitates experiences and discussions to help  students explore new ideas and aid  in the transition to independence and life both during and after college.

Vision:
To provide opportunities for interpersonal and intrapersonal growth through guided trips in the natural environment that offer physically and emotionally safe challenges.

 

Community:

Create a sense of belonging and community through experiential learning in a natural and primitive environment.

Hospitality:
Assist in the transition to independence and college life in a physically and emotionally safe atmosphere where being open to new ideas and change are expressed and embraced.

Respect:
Provide a base of support and understanding of diversity while working through challenges in a unique environment.
 

Stewardship:
Promote exploration in the natural environment in a manner that has minimal impact so that it may be preserved for others to experience.

Love of Learning:
Produce enjoyable and engaging challenges for experiential learning to occur through communication, problem solving, trust, and team work.
