My mom. She is an amazing woman with a huge heart and a passion for social justice. The older I get, the more I realize how much she has shaped who I am and how much I aspire to be like her.

I chose nursing so I could do more than just help people. I will be able to heal and comfort people in some of the most challenging times in their lives. I will be there not only as a healthcare professional, but as a friend.

Why did you choose the major that you did?
I think that the human body is an absolute miracle. (It is all the proof I need that God exists!) I enjoy learning and science, but mostly, I just enjoy helping people. I can think of no better way to spend my life than to serve those who are in need.

What is one unique thing about you?
Running is one of my favorite hobbies; it's an incredibly important part of my life and a big stress-reliever for me. I am on the cross country team here at CSS, and I am training for Grandma's half-marathon this summer with my dad and my sister.
