Accelerated Degree Programs at St. Scholastica

Offering flexible degree programs for working professionals since 1980
We know you're busy. Between family, work and social commitments, it can be hard to imagine where school fits in. At St. Scholastica, we have the answer. We've offered programs for working professionals and busy adults since we launched our Encore program in 1980. We know what it takes to get you where you're going.
What is Accelerated Learning?
Our accelerated programs are designed to meet the needs of working professionals and move you through classes quickly. Instead of the standard 16-week terms that most colleges use, our accelerated programs use an 8-week term. There are six accelerated terms per year, two each in Fall, Spring, and Summer. Full-time students register for two classes per term. Most on-campus courses meet from 5:30pm- 9:30pm.
Do you have transfer credits?
Great! Many of our students bring prior education and other experiences and we want to make sure that you're not re-doing things you've already learned.
Most students who have earned an Associate of Arts degree from a Minnesota Community College that participates in the MNSCU Minnesota Transfer Curriculum have completed the College's general education requirements, with the exception of Religious Studies and a Writing Intensive course.
Contact an admissions counselor for a free transcript evaluation. For a quick look at what classes transfer from select institutions, check out our transfer credit center.
A history of success
Our success depends on your success. That's why we provide you with the tools, support and flexibility you need to learn and meet your career goals. Our advisors assess any previous credits, work experience and your personal goals and help you create a degree plan that's tailored to your unique situation. Don't worry. We're here for you.
