Financial Aid

Loan funding may be available to help you cover your cost of attendance. For further consideration, please complete a current year FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Financial Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Title IV code for the College of St. Scholastica is 002343.

What types of loans are available?

• Federal Stafford Loan Program: The Stafford Loan program allows students to borrow up to a maximum of $10,500 per academic year. The overall aggregate borrowing limit with this loan program is $46,000.
• Alternative/Supplemental Educational Loan: This type of loan requires a credit worthy borrower and/or a credit worthy cosigner. Please see http://www.css.edu/x2489.xml for recommended lenders.

How to apply:

• Complete a 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov .
• Wait to receive your financial aid award letter from our office.
• Go to our loan website at http://www.css.edu/x2489.xml to complete your loan applications.

"Effective March 15, 2007, when you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. For inquiries please call the College of St. Scholastica Business Office at 1-800-447-5444 or 723-6092. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution."
