MENTUR Project

The MENTUR Project is housed within the School of Nursing at The College of St. Scholastica and began providing services to students in the 2006-2007 academic year.

The goal of the Project is to assist disadvantaged and under-represented students -including those from disadvantaged educational and/or economic backgrounds, as well as racial and ethnic minorities who are under-represented in the nursing workforce - enrolling in and graduating from the baccalaureate nursing degree program at St. Scholastica.More...

Pre-Nursing majors in the MENTUR Project will participate in activities such as academic advising, tutoring, test preparation among other activities. Nursing majors, RN/BA and Post Baccalaureate students are provided additional support from MENTUR staff, advisors, and peers with the goals to assist in successful completion of the baccalaureate degree including small group sessions, workshops, job shadowing, review sessions and mock tests.More...

The MENTUR Project is funded by a Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.
