New Americans Resources

This website was developed during Spring 2008 to supplement the Social Work with Immigrant Communities course (SWK 3390). It is intended to support methods of service delivery with refugee and immigrant populations in present day Minnesota, focusing on the unique aspects and challenges necessary for effective and culturally sensitive interventions.

The site is intended to be useful to social work faculty, students, and community practitioners. Keep in mind, however, that the resources are numerous, but not inclusive of every organization or immigrant/refugee community. We encourage you to contact us with additional resources that should be added or with changes that should be made. To do so, please contact Liz Smith at esmith2@css.edu or 218-723-5981.

Thank you.
