Admission Checklist for the Social Work Program- St. Paul and Brainerd

  • Submit an Application for Admission along with the $25 application fee.  Apply online at https://www2.css.edu/app/adep/index.cfm.
  • Request Official Transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended.  Please request an official transcript from your high school or GED scores if one or more of the following apply:
    • You have not attended a post-secondary school
    • You have taken less than 24 semester credits at an accredited post-secondary institution
    • You have taken 3 or more years of high school foreign language (you are exempt from the foreign language requirement at CSS).
  • If you are applying for financial aid, please complete the following:

  • Submit three professional references using this form:
    Recommendation Form
  • Students cannot be reviewed for college admission consideration until ALL of the following are received: 1) the Application to The College of St. Scholastica, 2) OFFICIAL transcripts from all previous colleges attended, AND 3) the Application for Admission to the Social Work Program.

Once admitted to the College and Social Work Program:

  • Students must fill out an immunization form before beginning classes.  You will receive this form at orientation.
    • Please note:  The Minnesota college immunization law applies to anyone who was born after 1956.  Students who graduated from a Minnesota high school in 1997 or later are exempt from these requirements under the law.
  • Submit a signed copy of the Technology Requirements form.
  • Attend New Social Work Student Orientation. (time and date to be announced) 

 

You may not begin classes until all official transcripts are received.
