Kristin Sundboom

Kristin Sundboom is a Senior Advertising and Public Relations major with a Marketing minor. She chose the major because she believes that it offers a well-rounded knowledge of business and the opportunity to work in a variety of areas.

Kristin has definitely had a great experience thus far in her time with the Communications Department. She believes that the students and faculty in the department are among the funniest on campus. That said, Julie Ahasay is one of Kristin's favorite professors. She says that Julie has been an invaluable resource to her because of the extensive experience she has in the real world of advertising and public relations. Kristin says she has learned just as much from Julie's stories and advice as she has from the textbooks.

Publication Design with Patrice Bradley was Kristin's favorite class. She says that learning to use the Adobe InDesign software has improved the work that she turns in for all of her classes. Plus Patrice gave her a new perspective on ads and layout design.

Every professor Kristin has had in the Communications Department has challenged her in some way and helped her to see a new potential in herself. The best part is that she knows that she will be able to use them as great resources as she begins her career.
