Steve Erickson
Steve Erickson, who has been working for the Communication and Theatre Arts program for 30 years, has a BA and MA from the University of Wisconsin - Superior and a Specialist in Information Media from St. Cloud State University. He also has experience working in both radio and television news and weather broadcasting, as he worked in both areas before he began teaching.
Primarily Steve teaches human communication, mass communication, media production and news writing and reporting, but throughout his many years at the college, he has a little bit of experience in all areas of the Communication department. Although he likes teaching all of his courses, he is particularly passionate about teaching media production.
In his free time, Steve is an avid TV viewer and also enjoys hunting, fishing, and "piddling" around on farm property he and his wife own in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. He also tries to keep up with his two sons, two daughters in law and four grandchildren. Steve also is the CSS TV news advisor, and he hopes that the program continues to stay strong because it is good practical experience for students who are interested in the field.
