Theta Xi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International is sponsored by the School of Nursing at The College of St. Scholastica.  The chapter began in 1982, with Sr. Helen Claire Arts as the first president.  Dr. Nancy Freeman was the Keynote Speaker at the first induction in 1982.  Theta Xi Chapter was granted a charter by Sigma Theta Tau on April 10, 1986.  At that time, there were 149 new members, 5 transfer members and 5 dual members with dual membership. 

 

Theta Xi Chapter celebrated its 10th anniversary in the 1995-96 school year.  Dr. Mary Jo Kreitzer was the keynote speaker at the Research Forum and Sr. Helen Claire was the keynote speaker at the induction that year.

 

Theta Xi Chapter is moving into its 25th year next year (2010-11).  Look for celebrations
