We are pleased to offer the RN to BS Degree Completion Program in an on-ground format in various locations throughout the state of Minnesota. You can earn your degree from The College of St. Scholastica by attending classes one to two nights per week.
The RN to Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program Onground is designed for registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma. The program has been designed to build on your experience as a registered nurse. You will discover new fundamental concepts and widen your knowledge base through a curriculum that is unique from the curriculum taught at the associate's level. By the end of the program you will meet baccalaureate nursing outcomes.
Baccalaureate nursing emphasizes community based nursing practice, which is the wave of the future. In fact, the National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice is now urging at least two thirds of the basic nursing workforce hold degrees by 2010.
The program consists of six nursing courses for a total of 24 credit hours and the Nursing Portfolio which consists of 16 credit hours. Additional non-nursing courses maybe required.
